The gorilla really highlights humans lack of empathy and intellect. that we would exterminate our second closest living relative in under a century without much serious effort being made to preserve them (by more than just a handful of groups) Really says allot about us as a species. It also takes away what little hope I have that humanity will ever rid itself of it's selfish and destructive nature.

I know, sometimes I am doing these and I think..."what for?, were a bunch of idiots" "we will never learn" And I guess that is one of the reasons I kind of stpped or went at it more slowly. The more i discover the more sad I get. The more I realize that there is no hope for us. we are doomed to finish everything and ourselves.

I don't see anyway around it myself, our nature is so destructive without rational temperament, most of us don't even see what we are doing, many by choice.

yeah sometimes I think back of stuff I did when i was younger (because now I am a living fossil) and I think. "damn i don't know how I did not get killed" or "how did I survive that one" I think a lot of also as that we don;t "see" what we do. or the consequences.
